An entrant may only enter a specific Section once. Entrants may not enter identical or similar images into the same section or different sections of the same exhibition. Similar is defined as almost identical in subject, composition, props, lighting or technique so that a reasonable person viewing the entries together would decide the entrant has duplicated the previous image except for minor changes.<\/p><p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p><p><strong>Titles<\/strong>: Each image must have a unique title that relates to the content of the image. That unique title must be used for entry of that image or of an identical Image into any and all PSA-Recognized exhibitions. Titles must be 35 characters or fewer. No titles may be visible to the judges, and nothing in the image may identify the entrant. Titles may not include file extensions such as .jpg or .jpeg (or any other camera capture filenames such as IMG 471). Titles may not consist of personal identifiers possibly augmented by a number; or include words such as \u201cuntitled\u201d or \u201cno title\u201d. Titles may not consist solely of numbers unless those numbers are prominently contained within the image, such as a contestant number in a race.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><strong>Color and Monochrome : <\/strong>Color and Monochrome images from the same capture that share substantial pictorial content in common will be considered the same image and must be given the same title.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><strong>All photo submitted must be in Digital <\/strong>:<\/p><ul><li>Maximum <strong>4 photos<\/strong> for each section in <strong>JPG<\/strong> file format with <strong>8bits\/sRGB<\/strong>.<\/li><li>Maximum dimensions: <strong>1920 px<\/strong> (Horizontal\/Vertical) in <strong>300 dpi<\/strong>.<\/li><li>compression <strong>7-12<\/strong>, maximum file size is <strong>2 MB<\/strong>.<\/li><li>Entrants\u00a0<strong>MUST\u00a0<\/strong>use only the English alphabet when submitting an entry.<\/li><li>Each image must have a unique title, no more than 35 characters.<\/li><\/ul><p>Follow the instructions on <a href=\"http:\/\/www.hpc.hisfajogja.com\">hpc.hisfajogja.com<\/a><\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><strong>The Exhibition will be conducted in accordance with the rules of the PSA and FIAP<\/strong><\/p><p>An entrant\u2019s images will not be presented to the judges consecutively. An entrant\u2019s four images will be distributed throughout four rounds of judging in that section. Distribution of images will be in the same round order as submitted by the entrant. At no stage will a judge be able to view all the entrant\u2019s images together.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><strong>Judging Method :<\/strong><\/p><ul><li>An entrant\u2019s four images will be distributed throughout <strong>two rounds<\/strong> of judging in that section. The judges will award the acceptances, medals, and honorable mentions of the entered images.<\/li><li>The judges will judge by remote <strong>on-line judging<\/strong> with monitor screens in a resolution of 1920 x 1080 px. <strong>The Equipment used will be capable of displaying images at 100% of the resolution.<\/strong><\/li><li>The special light blue pin (SLBP), to be awarded to the best author, the participant who has achieved the highest number of acceptances across all the sections, will be proclaimed \u201cbest author\u201d.<\/li><li>In the event of a tie, the organizer will decide irrevocably taking into consideration eventual attributed awards. In the case of identical top scores all judges will make the final decision. SUBJECT MATTER AND SECTION DEFINITIONS<\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\n\t\t\t\t\t<div id=\"elementor-tab-content-18014\" class=\"elementor-tab-content elementor-clearfix\" data-tab=\"14\" role=\"tabpanel\" aria-labelledby=\"elementor-tab-title-18014\"><p><strong>Statement on Subject Matter &#8211; applicable to all sections<\/strong><\/p><p>The fundamental rule that must be observed at all times and <strong>applies to all sections <\/strong>offered in exhibitions with PSA recognition is that <strong>the welfare of living creatures is more important than any photograph<\/strong>. This means that practices such as baiting of subjects with a living creature and removal of birds from nests, for the purpose of obtaining a photograph, are highly unethical, and such photographs are not allowed in any exhibition with PSA recognition. Under no circumstances may a living creature be placed in a situation where it will be killed, injured or stressed for the purpose of obtaining a photograph. Images that show live creatures being fed to captive animals, birds or reptiles are not permitted under any circumstances.<\/p><p>There are also concerns about the use of aerial photography, drones, helicopters, low flying aircraft. These should not cause any interference with other individuals or animals which causes a disturbance in their normal activity or disrupt the way any individuals or animals interact with their environment. Entrants in PSA recognized exhibitions should comply with all relevant laws and regulations, associated with aerial photography, in the country in which the image was taken.<\/p><p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p><p>Entry into PSA recognized exhibitions is conditional on accepting these policies. The content of images must comply with the General Conditions and with the Division and Section definitions listed in these conditions. (For example by Sepia, red, gold, etc.) A greyscale or multi-colored image modified or giving the impression of having been modified by partial toning, multi-toning or by the inclusion of spot coloring does not meet the definition of monochrome and shall be classified as a Color Work.<\/p><p><strong><u>FIAP Definition of Monochrome<\/u><\/strong><\/p><p>A black and white work fitting from the very dark grey (black) to the very clear grey (white) is a monochrome work with the various shades of grey. A black and white work toned entirely in a single colour will remain a monochrome work able to stand in the black and white category; such a work can be reproduced in black and white in the catalogue of a salon under FIAP Patronage. On the other hand a black and white work modified by a partial toning or by the addition of one colour becomes a colour work (polychrome) to stand in the colour category; such a work requires colour reproduction in the catalogue of a salon under FIAP Patronage.<\/p><p><em>For the purpose of this exhibition, only greyscale images are allowed in monochrome sections. Toned images are not allowed<\/em><\/p><p><strong>Greyscale Monochrome<\/strong> images may be entered for Nature, Photojournalism and Photo Travel but toned images are not permitted for these sections.<\/p><p><strong>Monochrome images may not be entered in color sections of PID<\/strong>.<\/p><p><strong><u>Photo Travel Definition<\/u><\/strong><\/p><p>A Photo Travel image is a portrayal of the real world we live in, as it is found naturally. It is recommended to leave the EXIF data in the submitted files intact in order to ease eventual investigations.&#8221;<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><strong>IMPORTANT:<\/strong><\/p><p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p><p>Concerning digital entries, FIAP recommends that authors should preserve intact, with no alteration, the original metadata of images. In case of contestation for incompliance with FIAP regulations the fact of not being able to access this important data could mean that the author could be sanctioned.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>Each author whose image shows any suspicions about the compliance with FIAP regulations or definitions can be requested by the organizer or by FIAP, to submit the original file (file containing the data recorded by the sensor, if so, the RAW file) plus the file of the image immediately before and immediately following the questionable image.
